One with your element

Kagura felt the shift in the wind. She knew something was wrong, but unsure of what. Following her intuition, she mounted her feather and began to flow with the wind.

She arrived to the source, it was Shunran, she appeared uneasy. “This is none of my business” She thought to herself. “That youkai’s well being is none of my concern”, but she could not find the will to leave. Instead, she stood behind a tree and just watched. Shunran appeared to be upset, and although it was unlike her, Kagura wanted to help. It hurt her to see Shunran like that. Kagura’s feelings were completely at a twist. She only just admitted to herself that she loved Sesshomaru, but there was something about Shunran that began to attract her. “What the fuck am i thinking, I am not this weak, this vulnerable, to allow myself attracted to not one, but two youkai.” She shook her head and attempted to leave. Her attempt seemed to be futile.Kagura stayed where she stood.

Shunran was aware of her company before the sorceress had even gotten there, though she was trying let her come out on her own. They could sense each other from great distances due to their connection with the wind. She sat and thought for some time before saying anything. “I know you’re there, sorceress. We are both the wind, therefore we are connected.” She said out loud, making sure Kagura could hear her. She brought her hand to her mouth and called her winds to her. They came as always, and she spoke a thanks to them before she asked them to got to her and give her a message of peace and comfort. The panther daiyoukai sat and awaited, knowing it wouldn’t be hard to draw her with the winds. <I am the wind as well Kagura. We will never be apart, and you know this.> She thought to herself as she waited.

Kagura gasp at the comment Shunran made out loud. She was unaware that her presence was known. She began to shake out of nervousness and panic came to her body, as she was unsure of what to do.”She knows I’m here. I am over stepping my boundaries, I should not be here” she whispered to herself. Her mind was torn between leaving Shunran be and staying.

“She knows I am here, it would be ridiculous to leave now. I am not a coward”, but she was a coward when it came to Shunran. Something about her made Kagura feel weak. It wasn’t the same as fighting an opponent, this was a whole new experience to her.

With hesitance, Kagura stepped out from behind the tree and said aloud, “I am here, Shunran.”

Shunran had been angry for days over her encounter with the hanyou Naraku. She would destroy him over this. It was unacceptable. The wind belonged with her. Not with a thieving hanyou. It wanted freedom, and it called to her through it’s breeze. The sorceress must be free of him. It became clear that she was the one who would need to do this. She would retrieve the sorceress’s heart and kill him for his treachery.

Shunran walked through the forest in deep thought. He huge aura outstretched and unchecked. There were a few she could go to for assistance in this. Possibly her father’s old friend Ryuukutsusei, maybe even Sesshomaru, though he was never very nice to her. Even as children, he would pick on her and her sister when their fathers would visit one another. She was going to figure this out. She sat against a tree and let her mind flow with the ebbs of the wind.
